COVID-19 Update

For 200 years the Lewis County Agricultural Society has sponsored the annual Lewis County Fair. It is truly a family fair with great family entertainment, wonderful fair food, an exciting carnival for kids of all ages, displays and animal competitions showing some of Lewis County’s finest.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, The Board of Directors has been closely monitoring CDC recommendations, New York State’s PAUSE executive order and the recommendations of state and local health authorities as they pertain to large gatherings scheduled for this summer.

Based on this guidance and careful considerations, and the fact that our fair draws from so many different places, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Lewis County Fair scheduled for July 21 – 25, 2020.

Since this would have been our 200th edition of the Lewis County fair, this was a difficult decision to reach but we feel it is the socially correct thing to do to keep our patrons, volunteers and participants healthy and safe.

Our 200th edition of the Lewis County Fair is now scheduled for July 20 – 24, 2021.
